Be brave, not perfect! 🚀

Are you a perfectionist? Or do you know one?

As a perfectionist myself, I hate admitting that I'm a perfectionist.

Why?

Because I know being a perfectionist isn't the best thing to be, so of course, I don't want to be one.

Because I'm a perfectionist.

Make sense?

So why does this matter for your communication skills?

Because if we are expecting perfection of ourselves, then we are limiting our progress. We are waiting to have perfect English in the future and not using the English we already know in the present.

I posted this video on LinkedIn this week. It is for YOU and for ME to drop the perfectionism

It's okay if you need to think before speaking!

Phrases to use
when you don't know what to say:

(These give you some
time to think! ⏱️)
➡️Are you saying . . .
➡️Thanks for asking.
➡️What a great question.
➡️Let me think about that.
➡️I'm really excited to let you know more about this.

Job Interview Tip #1

This was my most popular post on LinkedIn in the last few weeks.

I think people liked it because it connects to this idea of self-criticism. We are often much harder on ourselves than others are. (hard on yourself = self-critical).

What about your 2024 communication goals?🚀

I have space for 3 more one-on-one clients to start in 2024. If you've been waiting, let's get started before the holidays, so in 2025 you can:

🚀Deliver your presentations with confidence

🚀 Explain your projects effectively

🚀 Welcome visitors without fear

🚀 Excel in a job interview
